Kendriya Vidyalaya Dantewada has Started in 2003 in the campus of Govt. Hr. Sec School Dantewada near Govt. Hospital.

Vidyalaya shifted in New building in the year 2012 is situated in the village Chitalanka. Vidyalaya is about 6 KM from Bus Stand. It is 1 section school upto class X and two sections in Class XI and XII with Science and Commerce stream
